Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 4, 2025
1. Who We Are
Trezor Update ("we", "our", or "us") is a mobile application that aggregates publicly available cryptocurrency news and delivers it to your Android device. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the app.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the minimum information needed to operate the app:
- Device token for push notifications — when you grant notification permission, your device's push notification token is used solely to deliver news alerts. It is not linked to any personal identity.
- App usage data — basic, anonymised crash reports and performance metrics may be collected to improve stability. This data contains no personally identifiable information.
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, or any other personal identifiers. No account is required to use the app.
3. How We Use Information
- To send push notifications about breaking cryptocurrency news (only if you grant permission).
- To diagnose crashes and improve app performance.
- To display relevant, up-to-date news content aggregated from public RSS feeds.
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the app.
4. Third-Party Services
The app relies on the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:
- News sources — articles are fetched from publicly available RSS feeds. When you open a full article in the in-app browser, you are loading content directly from the publisher's website, which may set its own cookies or collect analytics.
- Google Favicon Service — we use
google.com/s2/faviconsto display news source icons. Google may log these requests per their privacy policy. - OneSignal — we use OneSignal to deliver push notifications. OneSignal may collect your device identifier. You can review their privacy policy at onesignal.com/privacy_policy.
5. Push Notifications
Push notifications are entirely optional. You may grant or revoke notification permission at any time through your device's system settings (Settings → Apps → Trezor Update → Notifications). Revoking permission will stop all notifications and no device token will be retained.
6. Data Retention
We do not store personal data on our servers. Your device's push token is held only for as long as notifications are enabled. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored app data from your device.
7. Children's Privacy
Trezor Update is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any data associated with your device. Because we do not collect personally identifiable information, there is typically nothing to retrieve or delete beyond disabling notifications.
If you have a specific request, contact us at the address below and we will respond within 30 days.
9. Security
All communication between the app and external servers uses HTTPS. We follow industry-standard practices to protect any data we handle, though no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
